Pro/Server – 3/17/2008

Today’s St. Patrick’s Day-themed class (ok, not really) covered Chapters nine and ten, which covered file sharing and printers.  The printers chapter was pretty self-explanitory; save for the portion dealing with AD publication of printers, there really wasn’t anything new in this chapter.

The meat of today’s discussion was all in chapter 9, which is definitely important.  Make sure you know the difference between Share permissions and NTFS permissions, and how they work together (or against each other, however you view it).

Next week we’ll finish the chapter and have two (count ‘em two!) quizzes: one at the beginning like normal, and the other immediately after the discussion.  That means all the information should be fresh in your minds, right?
