Today’s class covered Chapter 10, which was a pretty big review of concepts we are covering in other classes.  Great job today.

Also, congrats goes to Brett, who passed his 70-271 today, and therefore earns an A in this class.  Way to go Brett!

Tonight we talked about Chapter 5, which was consumer behavior.  We looked at several of the factors that play into how a customer comes to the purchasing decision and discussed a few ways that marketers try to manipulate those.

CompTIA A+ Software – 10/17/2006

This afternoon we installed Windows 2000 and VMWare.  Next week, we will reattempt our failed Windows NT4 installation and talk about Windows 2000.  Can’t you guys wait until we talk about Windows XP AND install it at the same time?  Wow, has that even happened yet?

Windows 2000 OS/Networking – 10/11/2006

Today’s class covered Chapters 8 and 9 – Network Administration and Accounts/Groups.  

Also!  The computers in our lab have VMWare installed on them, which means we’ll actually be able to install an operating system and play around with some of the things we’ve been discussing.  Really cool news.

Troubleshooting – 10/11/2006

This morning we went through Chapters 8 and 9, which dealt with dealing with hard drives (basic vs. dynamic, etc.) and printers, respectively.

Tonight we listened to Nick Brown, from WBKO, talk about the various impacts that marketing has in our lives including, pretty importantly, marketing ourselves.

CompTIA A+ Software – 10/10/2006

Scott Duvall from Holland CPAs was our guest of honor today, and I feel he did a good job of summing up what he does at Holland and gave you guys a pretty decent picture of what the job outlook is for today.  

Our planned project of installing Windows Me after Scott left was finished in the morning, so after his presentation, we called it a day!  See you guys next week!
